“People think of the beach and beach towns, but fall is my favorite season. The crowds are gone, the temperature is more comfortable, and there’s so much to do. New England is known for its autumn season,” Brendan Carey says. “The foliage is lovely during this time, so it’s perfect for a scenic drive along Historic Route 6A.”

Carey, who lives in Boston, spent his summers on Cape Cod growing up and loved Brewster so much that he now works there.

There's a lot of diversity on Cape Cod, from the fun and inclusive vibe of Provincetown to our own Candleberry Inn. Only an hour and a half from Boston or Providence, our LGBTQ+-friendly bed and breakfast is ideal for allies seeking a sunny getaway by the beach.

The economy mainly depends on tourism, and most P-town tourists are lgbtq+. Provincetown can easily be called a gay town. Why are gay towns always the most entertaining, artsy, and glamorous?

Cape Cod's gay scene and nightlife is focused on Commercial Street. The Crown & Anchor Entertainment Complex has multiple gay bars and a hotel. During the summer, you can detect shirtless men hanging out by the pool and dancing near the seafront.

Paramount is the biggest same-sex attracted club in town and it throws the kick-off bash for the Provincetown International Film Festival. It also puts on cabaret and drag performances. You'll catch LGBTQ performers from around the country and sometimes big stars favor Alan Cumming.

Just 90 minutes away from Boston is a tiny seaside town on the tip of Cape Cod that has as much history as it does gay customs.
