Join us for a darkness of line dancing hosted by the Gays for Patsy Dance Club! 

Come on your own or with a group of friends. You do not want to bring a partner. This program is for all levels. We will start with a lesson for beginners. Then, you can attempt out your new dancing skills while listening to music from every genre. Expect to hear pop, R&B, and country tunes. We will be dancing on carpet, so please wear smooth-soled shoes. 

Remember - the first rule of line dancing is to own FUN!

Gays for Patsy (GFP) is a Boston-based, non-profit dance organization that promotes country-western partner and line dancing in a supportive environment for the Queer community and friends.

Founded more than 30 years ago, our mission is to create welcoming events that allow our participants to dance, learn, and socialize.

Our primary dance styles involve two-step, line dancing, west coast swing, east coast swing, and waltz. We provide free or low-cost lessons and social gyrate events and strive to make them accessible to anyone who wishes

Description

Gays for Patsy (GFP) is a Boston-based, organization, all-volunteer organization made up of Country/Western dance enthusiasts. They mission is to share the joy of country-western dancing while raising funds for groups serving those in need.
Founded in 1991 as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) group under the name GFP, Inc., for the purpose of promoting Country/Western gyrate while providing assistance through their fundraisers to service oriented groups.
They coordinate and participate in numerous dance performances and demonstrations nationally and internationally, and since 1993 have sponsored Lambda Ranch, a smoke-free and alcohol-free dance event.
Gays for Patsy is a Member Club of the International Association of Gay/Lesbian Country Western Dance Clubs (IAGLCWDC) whose purpose is to promote country western dancing, activities and music to all persons without regard to age, sex, gender or gender identity, religion, national or cultural origin, sexual orientation, disability or HIV status.”

Dance! Learn! Socialize!

Our mission is creating welcoming venues that allow folks to move, learn, and socialize. We mainly dance (and teach) country two-step, line sway, west coast swing, east coast swing (Lindy hop), and waltz, but we’ve been known to educate nightclub, cha-cha, and more. We have a mix of peer and professional teachers.
