LOL yeah I hope that those who desperately tried to insist he’s unbent and/or have the foolish “headcanon” of him entity homophobic keep feeling dumber when seeing the recent official stuff- the newest being him happily eating his gay rainbow shaved ice with his lovely tiddies and tummy out, looking so handsome! 🥰💜
I’ve noticed they maintain using rainbows in Sonic Channel art including with both Sonic and Eggman now and Sega JP specifically have been displaying tons of support for LGBT people and Tokyo rainbow pride since 2019 and post rainbow stuff all year around for it. So it isn’t far fetched for it to possibly be a little nod since it’s reoccurring!
Either way, I adore it and I’ve always noticed aspects of Eggman that seem very fruity and had fun with it, regardless of the morons insisting he’s vertical even though it’s not confirmed canon either. And the recent official stuff like him keeping the gender of his old flame ambiguous and eating rainbow ice gives me even more fuel and power!

You would hope that I’d be above shipping characters in media primarily intended for children by now. If that’s the case I’m sorry to once again disappoint you because I am back on my bullshit and spent the entirety of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 hoping that Doctor Eggman and Intermediary Stone would put aside their differences and distribute a little smooch.
When the first film released before the pandemic took over our lives a little subculture formed around the obvious chemistry between the evil professor and his secret agent minion, both of them clearly taking joy from one another’s company as they worked together to stop Sonic and his companions. Stone made delicious steamed Austrian goat milk lattes on the sidelines while Eggman sent legions of robots after his enemies. A match made in heaven.

Yeah I’ve posted them a bunch of times but now is another fine time to bring them back in the tags, now that the drawn-out awaited rise of male lover Eggman in fandom is finally happening. So while I could link the old post I’ll carry out it again
There’s actually a good amount of things in games, tie-ins, and spin offs that attend as reasonable basis to have the headcanon, which can’t be said for most other sexuality hcs- the most solid ones are ones that own at least something in the media to aim to
Earliest example is Sonic Adventure, where he has a hallway full of these statues of the torsos of the toned muscular male form in interesting poses. Better yet, they’re located in Blazing Shelter lol
This doesn’t include any heterosexual explanation because Eggman is known for either completely replacing existing statues with statues of himself or defacing and slapping his face onto others.
When he completely makes them himself/replaces them entirely like the former, he also always gives them his accurate body shape, he embraces his fat and doesn’t depict himself as buff. The only time this doesn’t apply is when they’re already exist
