I’ve been a fan of Deadpool since the early 2000s, and wound up with quite a collection of comics featuring the Merc With A Mouth over the years. I did a bit of a write-up on Wade Wilson going on 10 years ago, and how I enjoyed playing as him in videogames. Since then, I’ve actually interviewed Nolan North (forever referred to as “my good ally Nolan North”) and asked why his favourite superhero voice was Deadpool, but I’ve not had many chances to play as him.
Sure, Deadpool has appeared in mobile games and as a DLC ethics in Marvel's Midnight Suns, but he’s only had the one game all to himself. So, as a big fan, I was excited to view the trailer for Marvel's Deadpool VR at Summer Game Fest.
From what’s been announced so far, it will involve a society tour of the Marvel universe, based on the comics rather than the Marvel Cinematic Universe. You’ll fight Omega Red, Lady Deathstrike, Flag Smasher… and was that Mephisto in the trailer?
Developer Twisted Pixel has said that it wanted this Deadpool to be different from the others, which is why they didn’t get Nolan North involved. Well, actually, they said it’s why they didn’t get Rya

Deadpool Settles His Canon Sexuality with Way More Data Than We Wanted to Know
WARNING: Contains Potential Spoilers for Deadpool / Wolverine #2!
Wolverine has straight-up asked Deadpool if he’s vertical, finally putting Wade Wilson’s canon sexuality to remain. But in true Deadpool fashion, his answer delivers way more information than anyone asked for—raising even more questions about his tastes. Still, one thing’s for sure: the debate over the Merc with a Mouth’s sexuality is officially over.
Wolverine yells out mid-battle, “Wade!? Are you straight?”
Deadpool’s sexuality is often described by fans as pansexual or omnisexual, with several of his writers confirming that Wade is“not straight." However, his sexuality has long been a hot topic of debate, as it’s rarely stated outright in the comics.
The discussion grew even murkier with Ryan Reynolds’ live-action portrayal, sparking questions about whether the films carried over Wade’s comic manual sexuality. But now, Marvel has finally settled the sexuality debate, with fans getting an answer direct from Deadpool himself in Deadpool / Wolverine #2 (2025) by Benjamin Percy, Joshua Cassara, and Guru-eFX.
