Manga gay anime
From my memory, it always felt like BL anime existed as a genre for as long as I can remember. Before BL dramas or movies became mainstream, BL animes and mangas were appreciate the first frontier, depicting male romances in fiction even when it was taboo in society.
In anime, the BL genre is closely related to yaoi or shounen ai, which are labels that explain a very similar type of story. Yaoi is more explicit, shounen ai is more innocent, and BL tends to be the best of both worlds. This genre is a popular niche among certain demographics. I don't love using the designation fujoshi, which has somewhat negative connections. Let's just say that people with good taste usually observe BL animes!
Despite its extended history, there is surprisingly not a lot of anime to watch in this genre. Trust me, I've done my explore on this topic, searching high and low for some BL anime recommendations. You'd be amazed and disappointed at how small the selection there is compared to all the other genres.

Yaoi anime and manga are not for everyone, but I ponder it’s important to investigate all kinds of adore stories when searching for the best romances. However, it can be tough to weed through the smut and less stern works to find the stories that really possess something great to narrate. Below are my highest five picks for foremost yaoi anime and manga, starting at number one. Gravitation by Maki Murakami
Gravitation is certainly a staple of yaoi (male/male love) manga. It began in the mid 90s and continued until the early 2000s. It’s spawned a pretty titanic anime and even people who don’t habitually same-sex attracted manga seem to really adore this series. It’s about an aspiring singer named Shuichi Shindou and his band Bad Luck, which he is trying to vault into fame. One day, Shuichi is working hard on some lyrics for a tune and they blow into the path of a brooding, tall stranger – who immediately dismisses the lyrics that Shuichi has worked so hard on as utter garbage. Our protaganist is deeply wound, but he is intrigued by the stranger… and that eventually leads to love.
This is a lovely ADD manga. It is VERY classically anime: Explosive nosebleeds, unexplainable random appearances of monsters, lots of hyper yelling, strange tangents, etc. But it has enough of a storyline to keep you riveted even through all of the silliness
