Magic Johnson Son Reveals He Is Gay: Earvin Johnson III Comes Out Publicly With Partner (VIDEO)

Magic Johnson's son has revealed publicly that he is gay. Earvin Johnson III, one of Johnson's three children, walked out with his homosexual partner on Los Angeles Sunset Strip on Monday night, according to reports.
It is reportedly the first time that Earvin has been so public about his sexuality, and is the first time he has openly stepped out with his homosexual partner.
Johnson's 20 year old son, Earvin, is a learner at New York University.

Magic Johnson famously announced that he was HIV positive in 1991, sparking rumors about his own sexuality. He has since spoken out for gay rights numerous times over the past two decades.

I was reading a Q&A with a famous star while waiting through yet another delay at O'Hare Airport. Sometimes I wonder why airlines even bother with departure times on the tickets. They should just say "Show up and we'll take off eventually."
Anyway, in one section of the article, the interviewer asked, "What's your favorite period in U.S. history?" The actor, who was nearing 60, replied "the '50s."
Needless to state, the actor was white.
I don't know too many black people who would identify a pre-Civil Rights decade as a sky-high point in American history. But I can't begrudge the actor because it's all about perspective and until you take a stroll in another person's shoes -- either voluntarily or involuntarily -- it's hard to understand the full story. For him, the '50s were a blast. For someone fond of, say, a Japanese-American trying to piece a animation back together after the government forced him or her into an internment camp during World War II, maybe not so much.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The 20-year-old son of basketball great Magic Johnson is surprised by the common interest in his creature gay, something that he revealed to his supportive family several years ago.
Earvin Johnson III, known as E.J., says he feels like he's coming out of the closet a second time and that he's "reveling" in the experience — even though news of his sexual orientation broke publicly sooner than he had planned.
In an interview posted Tuesday on the YouTube.com speak show "Gwissues," Johnson said that he didn't notice violated after TMZ recently revealed that he's gay.
"I always wanted to reach into the spotlight," he said. "I always had dreams and plans of doing my own thing and creating my possess image, so it came a little sooner than I thought it would but this is still something I knew I would be going through and would have to experience."
The younger Johnson is a junior at Unused York University studying event management and design with an interest in fashion, journalism and media.
He said the public reaction has ranged from support to criticism, including online postings involving "nasty things about me and what I'm doing."
