Gay men in vancouver

After recognizing a gap in the availability of specialized mental health services for gay men, we established The Centre for Lgbtq+ Counselling, a queer-owned and run online counselling group and private practice. Our mission is to propose exceptional mental health help specifically designed to join the needs of lgbtq+ men.

Our team of clinical counsellors is enthusiastically 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming. We believe that being gay is excellent and valid and that it&#;s essential to acknowledge and celebrate the characteristic value of LGBTQ individuals. In addition, our counsellors have specialized training and experience in therapeutic practices tailored to the needs of 2SLGBTQIA+ folks.

While our primary focus is on queer men, our counselling services are inclusive. We welcome anyone who feels they could benefit from our expertise. Our therapists have a broad range of experience, including active with the unique challenges of queer individuals in general, trans folks, neutrois folx, people with 2SLGBTQIA+ family members, and LGBTQ community allies.

Who we are

We are a group of or so Greater Vancouver-area gay men and their friends, who enjoy sharing the amazing outdoors. Our activities include hiking, walking, cycling, kayaking, skiing, camping and more — whatever is of interest to our members. Most of our events are local, but sometimes we travel around a bit. We get together for social gatherings throughout the year—anything from a barbecue to a bedtime at the opera. All of our events are organized by club members. O&A has been around for more than 30 years. Here is a history of our organization.

How membership works

  • We have a trial membership. Just for the asking, you can link our group here at (). This gives you access to our events, although the ability to create events requires complete membership.
  • We give you up to 3 months as a trial member, for you to check us out. If it&#;s a match, we collect a $10 one-time-fee.
  • Once you grow a full member, you&#;re allowed (and encouraged) to create new events and publish them on meetup (in parlance, you&#;re promoted from &#;No Role&#; to &#;Event Organizer&#;), and you get access to the membership list (to the extent that each member authorizes it). This page d
