Gay elves
Publisher Description
Once upon a second there lived two juvenile handsome elf boys. These elves loved each other. Unlike many fairytales where many adventures must accept place before true care for is found at last…these fine little elves grew up right next door to each other, in the tiny idyllic fairy world hamlet of Stiniel which lies on the edge of a village called Chagford which was built long ago, and still stands out in the wide, wild moorland of Dartmoor, at the Southern edge of the island of Britain. This is an ancient patchwork landscape of green and mists, of myths and legends, flowers and fields, sheep and ponies, of magic of all sorts, some light, some dark…. And of course there dwell trolls, fairies, and elves.
One of the pair of boyish elf sweethearts was named Rowen. He was quick as hare, daring and clever as a fox, with hair and eyes the red brown color of a fox as well. Rowen thought nothing of climbing up the top of the tallest oak vegetation to spy out all the new happenings in the forest and village and scheme that days adventures.
Briar’s temperament was as night to Rowen’s night. He was a timid one.

This is a topic that has been hotly debated both in-game and on Discord, and a few weeks ago I found myself in just such a debate. (This is how it went down: one party made a joke about gay Elves. Another party immediately took offence and insisted that the mere idea of gay Elves breaks canon. And so an argument began.) The debate seemed to resolve on the conclusion that Elves can only be heterosexual because they are (to simply matters) biologically primed to conform to Tolkien’s orthodox Catholic views. However, the arguments given never sat well with me, so I wanted badly to revisit this topic, and this period in a setting much more controlled and simple to keep track of: the forums. (It only took me so drawn-out because I had builds to work on.)
What I will be doing in this post is to quote all the relevant arguments, and refute them as best I can, and concede where I can’t. So-doing I will attempt to demonstrate how, despite whatever Tolkien’s control views may have bee

I received some time ago a comment which stopped me in my tracks. I went back and forth on this, trying to operate out my own thoughts on the subject, and to be honest I’m not sure I came to any solid conclusions other than ‘it’s not been presented that way before.’ Anyway, here’s a the comment and my reply.
First I wish to say, that I loved your books, especially Morathi was potrayed even greater than I hoped. But I also hope I dont offend you if I say that there were lot of cliches, stereotypes and predictable events.
This brings me to my question. Basically I long for to know more about Elven homosexuality in wahrammer and censorship in GW/BL. Most fans get furious when I suggest I imagine Elves as pagans with very different view on sexuality.
I find it very curious that druchii who are often compared to Sparta and Rome, are according to most too ,,macho” pseudodarwinists to tolerate homosexuality, despite enormous importance of homosexuality in both those warlike cultures. In case of extremelly hedonistic Druchii and complex Asur this seems even more absurd.
Fans get even more angry when I suggest I imagine Malekith (and p
