T pain is gay

Hip-hopartistT-Pain has been an unlikely gay rights activist lately with his recent series of anti-homophobia tweets. But as with much of hip-hop itself, one must explore the context to really appreciate it. Without the story behind statements such as "Attention all homophobic idiots: if you're not attractive to linear women, you're probably not attractive to gay men. You can unclench now," they can be unsettling.

Are these musicians, T-Pain's esteemed peers, still walking past gay men with their butts clenched? And why is T-Pain, of all people, getting his own boxers in a twist about it?

I sat down with the King of Autotune at a press event and initiate that his newly acquired rage against homophobia stems from witnessing his queer assistant, E.J., endure daily rounds of disrespect and discrimination from within the industry.

"I was at an Akon party, and for some reason everybody was trying to stay away from me because of my assistant," said T-Pain, who witnessed a alter in the dynamic of the whole party. "I was sitting next to him, and it seemed like no one wanted to even come around us."

Some readers might be nodding right now, thinking, "Obviously, Rajul. The hip-

While several people are digging up old homophobic tweets of comedians and celebrities, lets spotlight one tweet that’s pro-gay.

Singer T-Pain doesn’t get the respect that he’s deserves. While the singer is known for his auto-tuned music, his most popular songs don’t represent the entirety that is the man.

For instance, T-Pain shocked the internet in 2014 when his vocal performance for NPR’s Music Tiny Desk Concert showed his full vocal talent.

But it looks like T-Pain is not just a surprise when singing, but also when looking back at old tweets.

While Kevin Hart is quitting his Oscars host job over resurfaced homophobic tweets, and companion Nick Cannon is sharing similar tweets of female comedians like Chelsea Handler, T-Pain is sitting lovely with fans sharing pro-gay tweets he posted advocate in 2013.

“Attention all homophobic idiots: if you’re not attractive to straight women, you’re probably not attractive to gay men. You can unclench now,” wrote the singer.

“Just see a lot of ppl lookin at my assistant love “oh no better not go that way. That guy wants my butt” don’t be an idiot. Ur still

Singer, rapperand producer T-Pain had a few words for homophobes on Twitter this week.

The "Chopped 'n' Skrewed" artist sounded off as follows:

Apparently, the comment was a reaction to recent perceptions of his assistant:

Earlier this month Snoop Lion (the painter formerly known as Snoop Dogg) said he doesn't think homosexuality will ever be fully acceptable in rap music. Perhaps a heterosexual male hip-hop musician having a gay assistant may be a initiate.

In February, hip-hop diva, philanthropist and all-around mogul Russell Simmons said that rappers are less homophobic than before. With T-Pain's agency and A$AP Rocky's recent supportive statements, maybe rappers are gradually coming around.

Homophobia? Rapper T-Pain has no patience for that.

The Auto-Tune extraordinaire made a very memorable statement on Twitter concerning people with anti-gay sentiments—and he didn't bother sugar-coating his message.

"Attention all homophobic idiots: if you're not attractive to straight women, you're probably not attractive to same-sex attracted men. You can unclench now," he tweeted this week.

T-Pain appears to have been inspired to send that tweet in an try to defend his assistant, who he says has been getting negative looks from people.

"Just see a lot of ppl lookin at my assistant like 'oh no better not proceed that way. That guy wants my butt' don't be an idiot. Ur still fugly," he wrote.
